Weatherization Installer (Beginner-friendly role)

Join our team as a Weatherization Installer and play a key role in making homes more energy-efficient and comfortable for families. Whether you are just starting your career or have years of experience, we offer opportunities for growth and professional development in a rewarding field.

We would love to hear from someone who:

• Has a High School Diploma or GED.
• Has at least six months of experience in home weatherization, repair, or construction. (willing to train the right candidate)
• Has a valid California Driver License and acceptable driving record (DMV printout required).

As a Weatherization Installer you will:

• Install Weatherization Measures: Weather-stripping, caulking, insulation, and more to help homes become energy-efficient.
• Perform Minor Home Repairs: Assist with repairs that improve the comfort and safety of homes.
• Maintain Inventory: Keep accurate records of materials used and available.
• Collaborate and Lead: Work with your crew and potentially take on leadership roles, depending on your experience level.
• Train and Learn: Participate in ongoing training opportunities and help new staff as needed.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:

• Must be able to relate well to all people of the community regardless of color, national origin, religion, sex, pregnancy, age, marital status, veteran status, sexual  orientation, disability or socio-economic level.
• Must be at least 18 years of age by date of hire. 
• Must comply with the CAPSLO COVID-19 Vaccination Policy, either being fully vaccinated or sign a COVID-19 vaccination declination form.
• Based on program, a current TB skin test/Chest X-Ray may be required. 
• Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable job requirements and background requirements. A criminal history clearance is required prior to employment. 
• Upon hire, agency staff will check the Megan’s Law (or the current sexual predator website) to ensure each staff being hired is clear for employment. Agency staff will check the website annually to ensure all program staff are cleared to work.
