Job Description

What you will bring

Customer Delight:

  • Be an enthusiastic wine ambassador, welcoming guests and assisting customers in selecting wines that perfectly suit their preferences, while sharing captivating stories about our winery's history and providing insider tips on local attractions.
  • Delight our customers with exceptional service that goes above and beyond their expectations, both in person and through engaging phone and email conversations.
  • Be the wine/brand expert by continuously growing your personal knowledge and sharing it with our guests. With confidence and passion, guide them in making informed decisions about their wine selections, while also offering insights and recommendations about The Meritage Resort, the picturesque location for the tasting room.

Sales Superstar:

  • Channel your inner sales superstar and achieve or surpass our established sales goals for wine and wine club/subscription memberships. Your passion for our wines will be contagious, inspiring customers to take home their favorite bottles and join our exclusive wine club family or subscription service.
  • Master the art of Point of Sale (POS) transactions using our Tasting Room software (Wine Direct). Operate the cash register with finesse, effortlessly process returns, apply discounts, and even handle employee purchases like a pro.

Flexibility & Events Support:

  • You must have reliable transportation and be able to drive to offsite events as needed, ensuring that our presence at these events is as seamless and professional as it is in our tasting room.

With a shared sense of camaraderie, together we'll create a winning team that not only excels but also enjoys the journey. So, bring your positive attitude and get ready to be a superstar team player with our tight-knit crew!

Physical Demands

  • While most of your work will be done sitting at your desk, be ready for occasional physical activity. You will frequently use your hands for tasks like typing, handling objects, and giving high-fives of success (virtually, of course!).

  • While we embrace the digital world, we're still in the wine business, so there will be times when you will need to lift and move a case of wine weighing up to 45 pounds.

  • Your dedication to providing outstanding customer support will extend to safely handling wine shipments, and remember, if it us over 45 pounds, do not hesitate to ask for a helping hand.

Work Environment:

  • From the vibrant energy of our team to the lively sounds of equipment in action, you'll be immersed in an environment where every day is filled with enthusiasm.
