The Area Vice President is responsible for ensuring that all stores and leaders in assigned market are driving exceptional guest experience in the store. The Area Vice President will be actively engaged in ensuring that the store leadership is effectively hiring, training, developing and on-boarding staff. Ensures all stores in assigned market are focused on guest satisfaction, retention and profitability of each department in the dealership. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities

Motivates, supervises, trains and develops dealership team members

Successfully ensures all stores in assigned market are implementing the latest technologies and processes to foster exceptional guest experience

Serves as a role model/servant leader and ensures the core values of the company are encompassed in behavior at all times

Responsible for hiring and on-boarding each new GM in their role; to include personally showing them how to use all of Asbury’s software applications

Spends 50% of their time working in fixed ops unless instructed otherwise

Works hands on with department manager’s to help develop them and assess future leaders

Ensures their stores are market leaders in social reviews

Demonstrates expertise in all of Asbury’s software applications

Works in all departments of all the dealerships during the year

Ensures our service retention is above market in each store

Strategizes and puts together a long term plan to grow utilization in each of the stores

Drives the culture within the market and stores focusing on Guest Experience in all departments

Ensures all stores in assigned market are fostering a strong relationship with GEC

Ensures all store leaders are conducting daily meetings to ensure the stores are operating efficiently and profitably

Directs and monitors all General Manager functions and complete formal performance evaluations at regularly scheduled intervals

Ensures assigned stores are the sales leader in the local market and fulfills/exceeds the manufacturer market share and sales efficiency

Addresses and positively resolves all store leadership challenges to ensure high level of employee and guest satisfaction

Works directly with the General Managers to ensure all expenses are controlled and maintains Asbury’s expectation for gross profit

Meets with General Managers individually to develop monthly and annual goals and objectives while reviewing actual performance

Meets with store leadership to ensure the store prepares the dealership’s annual budget and submits to Asbury for final approval

Ensures all assigned stores are achieving all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are achieved to receive yearly manufacturer award

Ensures all new and used vehicles in stock of assigned stores are properly merchandised (custom descriptions, price to market, photographs, and videos)

Protects and maintains Asbury's standards and Company’s assets

Performs other related duties to benefit the mission/vision of the organization

 

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in e-commerce/marketing or a related field

Possesses leadership qualities and the ability to manage vendor marketing executives

Well versed in SEM, Display and Local SEO

Skilled in ROI calculations, A/B Testing and Excel

Previous experience preferred or automotive experience
