Job Summary

Preforms Shipping functions to include packaging, boxing, documentation and loading delivery vehicles. Receiving functions including unpacking, documentation and delivering to requisitioning departments and unloading of delivery vehicles. Assemble and routes various types of interdepartmental correspondence, mail and packages material by performing the following duties.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver to the safety department, a list of items that have been received by the company as well as any MSDS sheets that have been delivered with product.
  • Pick up company mail at the post office every morning and deliver to the Human Resource receptionist.
  • Responsible for the pickup and processing of company mail and delivery to the post office prior to the close of daily business.
  • Will pick up, process, and deliver interdepartmental mail and deliver to the appropriate departments.
  • Receive incoming product by unloading, unpacking, and processing receipts on computer system for delivery to requisitioning personnel or department.
  • Deliver and pick up products to and from local suppliers.
  • Prepare and package products using appropriate methods and materials for shipping.
  • Pack and ship Hazardous Material in accordance with current requirements.
  • Process outbound shipments utilizing computer systems or written manifests.
  • Requisition, monitor and maintain store material for anticipated shipping/receiving requirements.
  • May tend and/or operate machines that monitor, stamp, carry, lift, or move materials.  Machines that a clerk may use in the performance of their jobs include Forklift, conveyor, calculator computer and postal stamp meter machine.
  • Hand tools that are used include:  Pneumatic staple gun, manual tape gun, box knife.
  • Must work with the EHS department to ensure all local, state, and federal regulatory agencies requirements are met; OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA and Amphenol sustainability practices.
  • Must work with the Quality department to ensure all quality standards are met for AS9100 certification.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 months experience or training
  • Passage of appropriate testing to advance in ABC certification program.

Physical:

  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stooping, twist, reach, reach overhead.
  • Must be able to lift to 50lbs. frequently.

Knowledge:

Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Manual Dexterity - the ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects.

Multi-limb Coordination - The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, two legs, or one leg and one arm) while sitting, standing, or lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.

Near Vision - The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).

Oral Comprehension - The ability to listen and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.

Problem Sensitivity - The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
