Product Manager
Job Title: Product Manager- Sensors Location: Fremont, CA (onsite)
Reports to: Director Global Product Management FLSA Status: Exempt
Role Summary:
You will lead product management for assigned Pressure Sensing product lines. As a strong communicator internally and externally, this role will ideally capitalize on your experience with components and products serving our target markets, namely, Medical, Industrial and Transportation markets. The individual in this role must have a customer first mentality. Your success depends on being a customer advocate, which can be measured by your support to improve our customer response times.
It is imperative in this product management role to be well organized as a project owner, and a team leader, working closely with our inclusive team and others to achieve on-time results. Once assigned our success will be measured by our customers. Specific customer ownership and contribution includes customer quotes, fielding and finding answers to questions through interaction with our internal commercial, support of our project, engineering and operations teams.
You will also own product marketing and new product launch communications, working closely with our Amphenol Marketing group to achieve our strategic product communications goals. Additionally, you will have ownership of our supporting trade shows and distribution channel partners as it pertains to your product ownership.
Ownership of annual Pricing and daily quotations will be a critically important deliverable. Ideally the candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in volume component quotations and market value pricing in our target markets. The role participates in and supports business planning and strategy as is required on monthly and annual activities. Your success will help our business grow revenue, gross margin and meet operating income targets.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Must have 3-5 years of OEM component level Product Management Experience.

- Support of marketing effort to enhance our product visibility and differentiation in today’s global markets
- Create compelling messaging and positioning for products to differentiate them in the market.
- Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
- Work with our sales teams to create product training materials and sales enablement tools.
- Assist in developing product roadmaps and ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate with engineering, marketing, and sales teams to define product requirements and
ensure successful product launches.
- Maintain annual product pricing and communicate to necessary groups
- Conduct market research to gather insights on customer needs and market trends.
- Support the management of product lifecycles from planning to execution.
- Monitor product sales performance and recommend improvements based on market feedback and analysis.
- Participate in the business engagement process, planning sessions, and product demos.
- Assist in preparing product documentation for customers including product presentations, response for proposals and quoting.
- Collaborate with Amphenol groups on marketing activities, materials and annual planning creation.
- Communicate and collaborate cross functionally to define sales, technology and strategy
- Support the development of the annual budget and strategy plans specific to the defined market segments – track progress and facilitate resolutions to any gaps
- Key metrics: Sustained profitable growth, custom product offering execution, product line vitality, new product introductions
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 3-5 years of product management experience in OEM component sales
- Sensor product knowledge desired
- 4-year technical or business degree required
- P&L management experience preferred

- Experience in medical and industrial markets with established customers
