Divisional Accountant - Captive Solutions

*This is based in our Irvine Corporate office

SUMMARY 

Responsible for accounting duties including general ledger, financial statements, and fixed assets. Maintains system financial reporting and parameter changes, as well as prepare general ledger account reconciliations.  Assists with the preparation of financial statements, month-end closing, and consolidates financial statements. Oversee offshore team and manage books of 100+ Captives in Quickbooks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

•    Maintains timely and accurate analysis of general ledgers and subsidiary ledgers;

•    Assists with the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements and month-end closing;

•    Maintains bank reconciliation and fixed assets reconciliation;

•    Consolidates subsidiary company monthly financial statements, and maintains all subsidiary companies’ detail books;

•    Maintains and coordinates monthly general ledger accounts reconciliations;

•    Maintains system financial reporting and parameter changes;

•    Acts as backup for cash management:  wire transfers, stop payments, coordinates with the bank staff, and analyzes cash balance and investment fund;

•    Assists in audit preparation;

•    Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates;

•    Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS 
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Two (2) or more years related work experience

SKILLS

Strong knowledge of dual-entry accounting and general ledger maintenance

Proficient in Microsoft Office products

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent presentation and counseling skills

Good problem solving and time management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
