SUMMARY

Responsible for providing customer service and support to assist Producers and service team in supporting existing accounts and soliciting new business.  This position will serve customers in an endorsed environment to help identify personal and Business-related insurance needs to recommend the appropriate solutions utilizing a suite of specialty insurance products. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identifies prospects that fit the target demographic for selling different products and cross selling to pass off to the appropriate team member.

 

  • Supports a customer through entire sales process in conjunction with a sales representative, which includes proactively engaging prospects and/or member, addressing inquiries, providing quotes and competitive plan comparisons, assisting with applications, tracking underwriting status and closing business.

 

  • Interfaces with marketing, underwriting, case management, and customer service to aid the sales process.

 

  • Assists with requested quotes and make changes to existing coverage and/or new policies.  Determines acceptability and placement, completes applications or endorsements, and collects premium when applicable.

 

  • Reviews policies, identifies deficiencies and determines appropriate level of coverage.

 

  • Receives and reviews all termination and cancellation to determine action to be taken and takes needed action within 3 days of receipt.

 

  • Documents all material conversations with insured’s and/or carriers regarding exposures and coverage.

 

  • Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information).

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience  

Two (2) or more years related work experience

Encouraged to complete Career Path requirements as communicated by supervisor

Prior experience working in an endorsed or member-based environment

Valid Insurance License and completion of one insurance class required

Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal


SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex insurance products in a clear and understandable way.

Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills

Ability to build rapport and trust with clients

Ability to work independently

Ability to accurately gather and record customer information, process applications, and maintain organized records.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to address customer concerns and offer effective solutions.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
