SUMMARY 

Responsible for managing current captive portfolio accounts and coordination of mid-term account service needs. Coordinates actuarial reviews, financial updates, audits, annual board meetings, and coordinating with captive manager.  This role will also include providing assistance with new captive accounts and overall support of captive team business efforts.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

•    Services large book of Captive business;

•    Manages renewal process for expiring policies;

•    Coordinates with carriers to ensure policies, reinsurance agreements, and collateral funding documentation are issued in a timely manner;

•    Reviews policies, reinsurance agreements, and collateral funding documentation for accuracy, identifies deficiencies and may make recommendations regarding coverage(s)/limit(s);

•    May participate in client meetings to review coverage;

•    Researches requests for information from Actuaries, Underwriters, and Captive Managers;

•    Discusses and assists in setting renewal and/or new business implementation strategy with Producer or Supervisor;

•    Coordinates with Captive Team, Captive Manager, and Client to collect captive implementation data per domiciliary state requirements;

•    Composes correspondence to insureds and/or Actuaries, Underwriters, and Captive Managers;

•    Manages and maintains calendars associated with Captive Board Meetings;

•    Fosters and manages overall relationship with clients and brokerage teams ensuring retention of large market book of business and high satisfaction in coordination with Producer;

•    Notifies Brokers and Producers of pertinent information related to client retention;

•    Invoices of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;

•    Complies with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Six (6) or more years related work experience

Valid Insurance License

  

SKILLS

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Excellent customer service skills, including telephone and listening skills

Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills

Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
