SUMMARY 

Responsible for the daily Accounts Receivable process to ensure payment postings, bank deposits and reconciliation in a timely and accurate manner.  Assists in special projects as assigned, and assists Accounting Manager or Controller as necessary.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

•    Supervises staff including: motivating and mentoring staff, and providing employee training and development;

•    Acts as the lead for Accounts Receivable projects;

•    Prepares daily and month-end reconciliation and reports;

•    Deposits checks and posts to appropriate customer accounts or general ledger accounts; and balances transactions daily;

•    Handles requests for account corrections, premium finance and/or transfers;

•    Conducts special research, analysis, and reconciliation projects as assigned;

•    Follows up on accounting problems that arise within the scope of the position;

•    Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent combination of education and experience

Two (2) or more years of accounts receivable experience

 

SKILLS

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Good leadership, problem solving and time management skills

Advanced analytical skills

Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills

Ability and motivation to work independently

Proficient in Microsoft Office products
