SUMMARY 

Responsible for providing analytical support to operating group leadership and the Corporate Finance management team.  Key responsibilities include management reporting and analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, budgeting, and process improvement.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Provides broad analytical support to assigned operating group(s) and acts as a liaison between Finance and other operational departments;

 

  • Analyzes and interprets financial results, comparing actual performance to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.  Clearly articulates to management the narrative behind the numbers;

 

  • Designs and prepares ad hoc and standard management reporting.  Proactively seeks opportunities to provide increasingly insightful reports to management;

 

  • Independently constructs moderate to complex financial models to analyze the impact of current and proposed company initiatives;

 

  • Leads the forecasting and budgeting processes for assigned operating group(s).  Creates and maintains planning templates and reports, helps to construct revenue and expense plans, identifies and analyzes variances, challenges and redirects business assumptions as needed;

 

  • Organizes and analyzes large quantities of data and performs data reconciliations to ensure accuracy of work products.  Identifies and interprets patterns and outliers in the data set and provides insight into the meaning of the data;

 

  • Partners with IT to develop and maintain integrity of financial systems used for analysis;

 

  • Proactively identifies areas for process improvement and implements methods to reduce error rates and maximize productivity and efficiency;

 

  • Completes special projects as assigned to support corporate objectives;

 

  • Other duties as assigned.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Mathematics or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience

Five (5) or more years related work experience; specifically in a FP&A role

Strong understanding of financial computer systems and data systems

Graduate degree or professional certification

Certified Corporate FP&A Professional

Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Certified Financial Planner-CFP Board

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, polished presentation skills

Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills

Ability to prioritize multiple concurrent assignments and complete work by required due dates

Strong ability to interpret and analyze financial statements

Strong mathematical ability

Technical understanding of data structure, data mining and reporting processes

Highly proactive; actively seeks opportunities for process improvement

Ability to interact professionally with employees across all levels of organization

Works independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team

Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with advanced Excel skills and familiarity with Access
