Financial Analyst III
SUMMARY
Responsible for providing broad, company-wide analytics and reporting, fulfillment and analysis of data requests, and development of financial models to support business operations. Key responsibilities include management reporting and analysis, financial modeling, forecasting, partnering with the Business Intelligence (BI) team on ad hoc projects, mentoring Financial Analyst(s), and completing special projects for management and corporate objectives. Performs all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides broad analytical support to assigned operating group(s) and acts as a liaison between Finance and other operational departments.
• Prepares timely, accurate, and relevant ad hoc and standard management reporting.
• Analyzes and interprets financial results, compares actual performance to prior periods, budgets, and forecasts.
• Provides consultative data and analysis for company-wide RFPs, marketing surveys and other special projects.
• Organizes and analyzes large quantities of data and performs data reconciliations to ensure accuracy of work products.
• Identifies and interprets patterns and outliers in the data set and provides insight into the meaning of the data.
• Proactively identifies areas for process improvement and implements methods to reduce error rates and maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Completes special projects as assigned to support management and corporate objectives.
• Mentors Financial Analyst(s).
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Mathematics, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four (4) or more years related work experience; specifically in a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) or R&A role
Graduate degree or professional certification (FP&A™, CPA®, CFP®, etc.) a plus
Prior experience with Applied Epic, BenefitPoint, and Hyperion, Power BI also a plus

Has a technical understanding of data management, financial systems, and other analytical tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office products, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills and moderate to advanced Access skills

Ability to independently exercise discretion and judgment in communicating and providing proprietary data and analysis
