Quality Engineer - Manufacturing Engineer

Quality Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer Job Overview: As a member of the Headquarters Quality Department, the Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for initiation and completion of A3 projects in our manufacturing facilities, recognizing and nominating quality problems for solutions, working with manufacturing group leaders on quality issues, and answering team member questions on the manufacturing floor.

Key Job Responsibilities: 

• Building/sustaining relationships with associates
• Maintaining proper business etiquette
• Initiation and completion of A3 projects
• Recognizing and nominating quality problems for solutions
• Working with manufacturing group leaders on specific quality issues facing the Product Group
• Quality Engineer aids in establishing quality standards
• Signing off on process changes, BOM and specification changes
• Answering team member questions on the manufacturing floor

Skills and experience we are looking for:

• Mechanical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering Technology/Automotive Technology Degree or similar preferred, or equivalent work experience
• Problem-solving skills/critical thinking
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• 3D modeling
• Organization and time management 
• Process oriented thinking
