Summary:

The Director of Pricing will be a key member of the Strategy team and will oversee the ticket pricing of all events in each Cosm Venue

The ideal candidate is a highly dynamic individual who has a rigorous attention to detail. The role will report into the Vice President, Head of Strategy and will contribute to overall pricing strategy, revenue management and venue revenue forecasting. This candidate would join a lean team with high visibility across a fast-growing, ambitious organization. Rapid advancement possible for strong performers. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage overall ticket pricing strategy for Cosm Venues
  • Set day-to-day ticket pricing for all events across all open venues
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and content operations teams to optimize pricing operations
  • Track comparable ticket offerings in existing and future markets
  • Conduct analysis on past performance of events to refine ongoing ticket pricing strategy
  • Create and present materials to brief senior leadership on results and prospective strategies

Experience and Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate has experience in management consulting, finance, and/or pricing strategy/operations at customer facing events businesses
  • Experience in the sports media and / or technology industries
  • 5 years of leadership experience and at least 12 years of related experience
  • Deep fan-based knowledge of sports and sports media
  • Strong statistical and finance-based analytical skills
  • Capacity to accept and respond to feedback
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
  • Comfortable with ambiguity – unhindered by change and uncertainty and can methodically work through complex problems
  • Ability to take a hypothesis-driven approach to big-picture analysis, think strategically, make data-driven insights, reach logical conclusions, and make compelling recommendations
  • Start-up DNA: Willing to roll up sleeves, do foundational work and test new approaches
  • Confident and self-aware with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • High impact presence—capable of quickly establishing credibility, influencing constituencies, and persuading professionals at all levels within the organization
  • Strong visual presentation skills to deliver communications that align the organization behind a common vision

The annualized base salary range for this position in California is $160,000 to $215,000. The base salary offered will factor in internal equity and may also vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and relevant experience, among other factors.
