Summary of the Role:

The Marketing Research Intern will support key members of the B2B marketing team by conducting market research, analyzing data, and providing insights to inform campaign strategies. Responsibilities include gathering data on consumer behavior, competitor analysis, and industry trends, as well as assisting with customer focus groups and surveys. The intern will collaborate with various teams across the company to ensure research findings are informative to goals, contribute creative ideas for campaign improvement, and assist in establishing marketing reports and automations. Strong communication, time management, and analytical skills will be essential, along with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Research and Analytical Skills:

  • Ability to gather, organize, and analyze data from various sources.
  • Strong attention to detail for identifying trends, insights, and actionable information.
  • Basic understanding of market research techniques (surveys, focus groups, data analysis).

Digital Literacy:

  • Familiarity with basic digital marketing concepts (SEO, social media, email marketing).
  • Proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets).
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and content trends.              

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Basic understanding of metrics like engagement rates, click-through rates, and conversion rates.
  • Experience or coursework in data analysis tools (Google Analytics, Excel) is a plus.

Communication Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication for reporting research findings.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and share insights effectively.

Project Management:

  • Time management skills to balance multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Organizational skills for keeping track of research projects and marketing assets.

Creative Thinking:

  • Interest in brainstorming new ideas and approaches to campaign strategies.
  • Willingness to contribute innovative suggestions for improving marketing efforts.

Curiosity and Willingness to Learn:

  • Eagerness to learn about digital marketing, campaign management, and marketing strategy.
  • Adaptability and willingness to tackle various research and support tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Junior or Senior at the start of the program.
  • Available to work in a Cosm Office (hybrid).
  • Available to work 20 hours per week during the defined Intern period.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Interest in immersive technology and content.
