Venue People Operations Intern

Summary of the Role: 

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Venue People Operations Intern to join our Hollywood Park venue's team. This internship offers hands-on experience in various People Operations functions including Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, and Training & Development, all relating to our one-of-a-kind Cosm venues and providing an opportunity to learn about the dynamic field of human resources within a fast-paced and supportive environment.

Responsibilities: 

• Assist in completing new hire paperwork and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain and update employee records and databases.
• Assist with HR-related correspondence, including offer letters, employment verifications, and other documents.
• Support HR projects and initiatives as needed.
• Handle inquiries from employees regarding HR policies, benefits, and general questions.
• Help organize employee appreciation events and activities to promote a positive work culture.
• Assist in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations.
• Support HR audits and maintain documentation for compliance purposes.
• Generate HR reports and metrics as needed for analysis and decision-making.
• Assist with job postings and manage job boards.
• Screen resumes and schedule interviews.
• Assist with recruitment materials and events.
• Help facilitate new employee onboarding and orientation processes.
• Support HR initiatives related to staff events and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Junior or Senior at the start of the program.
• Available to work on-site at the Cosm venue (hybrid).
• Available to work 20 hours per week during the defined Intern period.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Interest in immersive technology and content.
