As an EHS Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading and continuously improving MacLean-Fogg’s Environmental, Health, and Safety systems, while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Role Overview:

The EHS Manager will serve as a key leader within our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, responsible for overseeing the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of safety systems and environmental programs. You’ll lead the charge in ensuring compliance with all relevant EHS regulations, maintaining our ISO certifications, and driving safety culture across the organization. If you have a proven track record in EHS management and a passion for sustainability and safety, this is the role for you.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and enforce EHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including ISO-14001/ISO-45001 certifications.
  • Conduct risk assessments and hazard analyses to identify potential safety and environmental hazards, developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Lead routine safety audits and facility inspections to monitor compliance, identify hazards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Provide training to employees on EHS protocols, safety procedures, emergency response, and best practices.
  • Design and manage environmental programs such as waste management, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives that align with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, conduct root cause analyses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records and documentation related to all EHS activities, including incident reports, compliance audits, and OSHA logs.
  • Promote a culture of safety and well-being throughout the organization by coaching and influencing supervisors and site leadership.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the EHS function and overall business objectives.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Chemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in EHS or a related field, ideally within a lean manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal and state regulations and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others in fostering a culture of safety and compliance.

  • Effective communication skills for training, coaching, and influencing employees, supervisors, and leadership.
  • Problem-solving ability to address and resolve safety and environmental challenges in a manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects effectively.
