Corps Program Assistant
Location: Tampa Area Command, Tampa, FL
Position Type: Regular Full-Time
About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for assisting the Corps officer in developing, administering, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating the day-to-day operations of the Corps Youth Department:
Key responsibilities:
- Develops and leads a variety of Corps programs including the after-school program, youth, Sunday school, and worship services.
- Assists in coordinating and participating in outreach efforts and programs to assist the youth in our community.
What we are looking for in you:
- High School diploma or G.E.D. AND
- Two years’ experience participating in ministerial work desirable OR
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Valid Driver’s License
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Ability to operate a motor vehicle. Ability to read and follow a map and/or hand-written directions. Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting, and carrying light objects (less than 25lbs.) 5-10% of the work time. Duties are usually performed by a combination of sitting, walking, and/or driving a motor vehicle. Duties may also require the ability to lead and participate in recreational and/or athletic/sports programs.
Work is performed in a normal office environment with some exposure to outdoor temperatures and driving a vehicle in moderate to heavy traffic.
