Location: Florida Divisional Headquarters, Lutz, FL

Position Type: Regular Full-Time, Exempt

Pay Range: $70,000.00 – $75,000.00/yr

About this opportunity:

Plans, supervises, coordinates, directs, monitors and evaluates the day-to-day operations with multiple large facilities/grounds/locations spread over multiple counties including multiple quarters, Salvation Army buildings, vehicle fleet, grounds, and equipment; includes supervision of 4 or more employees in Facilities Operations.  Coordinates, directs, implements and evaluates the full range of Facilities Operations, Maintenance, Security, Auto fleet Ensures all equipment remains in proper working order and compliance with standard operating procedures and safety standards; maintains an inventory of all Salvation Army property and administers a departmental budget.


Key responsibilities:

Develops & manages monthly budget and reviews financial statements: develop & manage annual Capital Improvements Plan (including budget & Funding); Works with the Divisional Secretary for Business to develop agency planning, including implementation of the Long-Range Strategic Plan.

Supervise all departmental staff and ensure work is in compliance with established policies and procedures as well as local, state, and federal regulations (i.e. OSHA, Health Department, Code enforcement, departmental manuals, etc.).

Receives and responds to questions or problems regarding the program & administration operations; Researches information in order to provide information or resolve problems in a timely manner; Provides recommendations to the  Divisional Secretary for Business  to improve/simplify/stream-line methods and procedures; initiates, explains and enforces new and existing procedures as directed; Will provide required information for the pursuit of grants, foundations, and requests for proposals to fund programs and projects.

Becomes and remains familiar with all policies relating to maintenance, security, managing of all significant events pertinent to contract compliance and keep Supervisor informed appropriately; Work with the Administration ensuring grant compliance and resources are committed for program effectiveness.

Direct supervision of Maintenance Staff, Custodian; Plans, schedules, conducts, and participates in Director’s meetings to discuss issues, priorities, practices, and procedures; resolves operational problems and giving recommendations to the Divisional Secretary for Business.

 

What we are looking for in you:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and seven years’ experience in facility maintenance operations with at least two years in a supervisory position or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
