The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for a Warehouse Worker for the Southern Territory Headquarters, located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Job Summary

Receives, sorts, prices, and prepares donated items for display in the store; determines suitability and pricing of items based on established standards; assists in maintaining the orderliness and cleanliness of the warehouse area. Prepares donated items, not suitable for display in store, to be processed through the salvage program which includes operating, inventorying, and maintaining textile procedure.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to sort items in accordance with established categories.
Ability to determine the condition of items in accordance with established standards.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
Ability to operate equipment.
Ability to report to manager on progress of textile production daily

Education and Experience

 1 Year experience in warehouse operations

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions   

 Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to communicate the English language.
Physical ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull minimum of 50lbs.
Moderate mobility: duties are usually performed in combinations of sitting, standing, and walking on a frequent change basis. Ability to climb ladder.
