JOB TITLE: Security PROPERTY: The 501 at Mattison Estate DEPARTMENT: Administration
REPORTS TO: Business Office Manager FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt |
POSITION SUMMARY: Security is the representative of the community during the nighttime hours, responding to all activity and requests at the Front Desk, greeting all visitors to the community, and handling emergency services. These activities will fulfill the SageLife Mission and demonstrate the We Care Values and the Sage Associate Promise. |

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES: 1. Practice The Sage Way and Live the Values – Commit to and demonstrate the We Care Values & Sage Promises 2. Responsible for the overnight safety and security of the building. 3. Monitor security doors, camera system, and alarms. 4. Lead the response to overnight emergencies--calling 911 and summoning appropriate agencies (police and/or ambulance) and escorting medical personnel. 5. Answer the telephone, assist visitors, and respond to front desk inquiries. 6. Keep current with state and facility required annual training. 7. Perform other duties as assigned. |
QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school or GED equivalent. EMT training preferred. Experience: Two years in a customer service/security role. Skills: Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in Excel and Word. Licensures and Certifications: Current First Aid and CPR certifications preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift/ push/pull/carry minimum of 50 lbs without assistance. Ability to lift/push/pull/carry minimum of 75 lbs with assistance. Ability to hear, speak, bend, stoop, stand, reach, push, and pull as needed. Ability to walk up/down up to seven flights of stairs. Able to sit continuously.
Other Requirements: Able to stay beyond scheduled shift in the event of an emergency or inclement weather.
