Salary: $80,000 - $89,000 per year.
Location: Remote - Central/East Time Zones are highly preferred.
Employment Logistics:
The Go-to-Market Specialist is a key role within the OnTrac Marketing team and is responsible for owning the research, creation, distribution, sales enablement and governance of positioning, messaging, and all channel content for each service in OnTrac’s portfolio. The role collaborates with channel marketing and other commercial team resources for the development of content across channels, whether for prospect or client marketing. This position reports to the VP of Marketing and serves as a central point of contact for all internal teams regarding go-to-market strategy, messaging, new product launches, thought leadership, and channel content.

Your Mission in Motion:
- This position is well-suited to those accustomed to working independently and self-sufficiently while wearing multiple hats.
- Manage and own responsibility (under direction of the Marketing VP) for all product marketing activities pertaining to—and serve as the primary Marketing POC for—a core set of products / solutions/functions in the OnTrac portfolio, addressing both current and prospective client needs.
- Articulate business challenges addressed by our solutions and services. Document positioning and messaging that differentiates OnTrac’s value propositions. Act as the ‘spokesperson’ for our go-to-market messaging.
- Follow and analyze market trends to position products; provide sales teams with perspectives on market trends to aid in competitive and instructive selling practices.
- Develop personas, customer journeys, market segmentation, and competitive intelligence; leverage these materials in creating product positioning, messaging, and sales materials
Paving your way to your success:
- Develop and Execute Go-to-Market Strategies:
- Own the GTM process for new product launches, market expansions, and service enhancements under direction of the VP of Marketing.
- Define and articulate value propositions, messaging frameworks, and differentiators for key audiences (e.g., ecommerce brands, retailers, and 3PLs).
- Identify and prioritize target segments, use cases, and buyer personas to focus resources where they matter most.
- Identify Expansion and Growth Areas:
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to uncover new service opportunities and market niches.
- Collaborate with sales, tech, and operations teams to identify growth opportunities within existing service lines and potential new markets.
- Provide strategic recommendations on areas to expand services geographically or functionally, leveraging customer feedback and data insights.
- Inform Product Roadmaps:
- Partner closely with IT and operations to translate market insights into actionable roadmap priorities.
- Advocate for customer needs and market opportunities during product planning cycles.
- Ensure alignment between product offerings and the broader business strategy.
- Create and Execute Launch Plans:
- Manage end-to-end launch plans, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver campaigns, collateral, and launch assets that drive awareness and adoption.
- Ensure consistent messaging and alignment across all channels and customer touchpoints.
- Drive Sales Enablement:
- Develop high-impact sales tools, including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and objection-handling guides.
- Train and enable sales teams on new products, positioning, and competitive differentiators.
- Serve as the liaison between sales and marketing to continuously refine messaging based on feedback from the field.
- Conduct Market Research and Analysis:
- Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics to inform product positioning and strategy.
- Conduct win/loss analysis and collect customer feedback to uncover insights that improve messaging and positioning.
- Stay ahead of industry shifts to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Collaborate Across Teams:
- Work closely with operations to align on service capabilities and feasibility for new growth opportunities.
- Partner with the broader marketing team to develop campaigns that amplify GTM efforts and support expansion goals.
- Build strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment and drive execution.
The Must-Haves:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- A passion for B2C/retail ecommerce (logistics or technologies) and experience developing B2B marketing deliverables (including, but not limited to, pitch decks, collateral, sales playbooks, sales training, customer/prospect communications, etc.)
- 2-5 years of overall marketing experience, focusing either on ecommerce logistics services or with a retailer/brand, ideally with ability to articulate the value and impact of logistics on the ecommerce landscape
- Experience in product marketing, particularly in understanding internal and external stakeholder needs for new product launches, product enhancements, and product lifecycle
- Ability to work independently with some direction; strong decision-making skills and problem-solving skills
- Solid writing skills, with a focus on articulating impacts and benefits of products and product changes to clients
- Comfort running market / competitive research projects and an ability to synthesize findings to actionable insights
- Capacity to succeed under aggressive project schedules
- Strategic thinking mindset, understanding the need to build relationship and coordinate across functional teams
- Occasional Travel as needed <10%
