BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION
Individual will lead project teams, be responsible for end-to-end project management across all functions within specified Kubota departments and affiliate companies.
This will include definition and scoping of SAP S/4 projects from existing SAP ECC landscape and ensure proper communication and feedback and orchestrate alignment with business sponsors and key stakeholders, project execution, and communication of status and risks.
The position will focus on providing key inputs into the design and planning of Kubota SAP S/4 programs and projects and will manage a team of resources to establish consistent methodology and excellence in execution. The incumbent must communicate with business users to define specific needs. The individual will create business requirements, project objectives/milestones, and schedules and oversee quality control throughout the SAP S/4 project.
PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES: This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines:
- Accountable for helping to manage the overall S/4HANA global implementation of defined engagements.
- Develop detailed plans for the S/4 delivery, identification, and management of program resources in a matrixed environment.
- Manage and coach a team that will make process changes to improve project execution efficiency and scalability on a Kubota North America level.
- Identify and partner with key business users from dealers, divisions, and affiliate organizations to derive project needs that will enhance operations and systems.
- Develop and maintain work plans that consider strategic goals, priorities, milestones, time estimates, task sequencing and critical paths while at the same time determining what tasks can be performed concurrently.
- Ensures the timely and quality development of all deliverables for programs/projects.
- Must be able to thoroughly assess projects eliminating or minimizing scope creep.
- Create a consistent methodology to track and maintain future enhancements as additional requirements are added unexpectedly to a project.
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Special projects will be defined as needed by the PMO Director or Executive Management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:
- Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, software engineering, or information technology at an accredited university. PMI Certification and/or Six Sigma training is good.
- 7-10 years of direct program/project management with supervisory experience.
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:
- 7-10 years of Program/Project Manager experience delivering SAP related projects in complex global environments.
- 2 or more Successful SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA project implementations strongly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
- Experience in strategic planning and execution.
- Strong leadership, management, and negotiation skills with the ability to be assertive before project tasks and go-live dates are late.
- Proven ability to be effective in a mission-driven environment.
- Able to document complex requirements in a uniform and logical format that’s easily understood by both business and technical groups using basic tools like MS Office, Visio, Lucid Charts, and Smartsheets.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
