BASIC PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF POSITION

This role is responsible for overseeing the strategy, enterprise-wide architectural design and dealer portal team to ensure that Kubota North America can efficiently deliver best in class dealer interfaces and technology solutions.

The primary objective of this role is to support Kubota's business goals, strategy, management and objectives by leveraging scalable technologies. This includes partnering with the SAP S/4 HANA implementations technology team and IT, as it pertains to KubotaLink, (KTC’s Dealer Portal) and handling the architectural support, design and technical interface projects across all application technology stacks.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES:  This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures, and guidelines: 

  • Partners with SAP team and manages Web Application Managers, Experts, Architects, Analysts and Developers – Always with a business focus.
  • Analyze business scenarios and identify opportunities for improvement through automation and/or business process redesign.
  • Provide leadership in the end to end design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications dealer interface and services.
  • Contribute to and/or lead the specification and software design phases of the software development life cycle.
  • Drive efficiency and agility in opportunities within the SAP platform by leveraging SAP ERP best practices, while reducing customization and assessing IT trends within and outside the organization.
  • Responsible for the KubotaLink forecast, budget and technical roadmap based on alignment with business leadership.
  • Provides Web Application subject matter expertise and be accountable for business requirements gathering, application / configuration requirements specifications, design, configuration, and testing, and ensure solution design meets those business requirements and follows an established SDLC methodology.
  • Responsible for the overall integration solutions that aligns the functional and technical designs with business requirements while ensuring quality and business expectations are met.
  • Manage the design and implementation of new software, application development and enhancement efforts and testing.
  • Works with SI partners and OCM leads to ensure there are no solution, communication and training gaps in programs.
  • Be the overall owner for Parts and Whole Goods technical solutions when Leadership brings up concerns.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Information Technology required, Master's degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience spanning Web Applications, information services, systems, and technology, with increasing level of responsibility throughout required.
  • 10+ years of experience in Java Software Development required.
  • 5+ years of architecture experience building applications for dealers and/or customers.
  • At least 5 years direct management/supervisory experience required, preferably in a Sales and Distribution organization heavily weighted towards IT driven projects to improve scalability.
  • Experience in Java 8+, Micro-service design patterns, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, SQL, DB2, PLS/SQL, and ADF.  
  • Experience in TDD/ATDD and DevOps Process.
  • Experience in Docker, Kubernetes and Cloud Technologies (Azure) .
  • Familiar with NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
  • Familiar with message queues and/or brokers (Kafka, IBM MQ)SAP experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong understanding of Service Oriented Architecture, Micro-services, and REST API principles.
  • Ability to gain and maintain successful working relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong team leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels within an organization. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%.
