National Partner Sales Manager
Location: Van Wert or Dublin, OH
The ideal candidate for this position is an energetic leader with expertise in growing and nurturing relationships. With an authentic ability to build connections with others, the National Partner Sales Manager is responsible for developing sales strategies at the agency leadership level, executing company objectives and reaching premium budgets. Challenged to innovate and leverage new technology, track and analyze the effectiveness of sales and communication tactics, this position supports the overall strategic vision of Central’s marketing and distribution efforts.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Sales & Relationships
- Develop the national partner relationship and sales strategy at the agency leadership level, executing company goals and premium budgets
- Build and strengthen relationships with identified top national partners and Central’s appointed agencies
- Collaborate with the regional distribution teams and integrated marketing strategist to efficiently deliver on national partner objectives
- Support the sales pipeline development within national partner agencies to:
- Drive submission activity in attractive markets to meet premium budgets
- Utilize PowerBI Submission and comparative rater data to understand agency results and drive quote behaviors
- Identifying growth, consolidation, and agency incentive opportunities
- Communicate agency goals, monitor results, and coordinate action plans for top national partners
Data & Contact Management
- Manage an updated database of Central’s national partner agency and key contacts
- Lead and track the effectiveness of national partner agency meetings and communication tactics, utilizing a national partner CRM and providing regular updates to the regional and marketing teams
- Determine national partner objectives and KPIs, collaborating with Central’s Business Intelligence Analysts and Financial Business Consultants to develop national partner production dashboards
- Monitor and analyze national partner performance in correlation to premium objectives with the ability to distill and curate insights and findings to the regional teams
Industry Monitoring
- Monitor the national scope of M&A across the industry and its impact on Central’s agency plant
- Monitor industry trends and opportunities to improve sales and distribution efficiencies, attending national, regional, and local conferences when applicable
- Support the preparation for the annual CIAB ILF Conference and develop plans to maximize the opportunity
- Manage Central’s sponsorships with national partners, analyzing impact and optimizing spend
What you will bring
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 6 years of insurance experience- experience in sales and Commercial Underwriting with a Property & Casualty Company
- Or 8 years of relevant insurance experience- experience in sales and Commercial Underwriting with a Property & Casualty Company
- Valid driver's license
- Success working in fast-paced environments leveraging modern marketing tools
- Ability to work appropriately across departments and offices to accomplish corporate objectives and priorities
- Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Powerpoint, Word, and Excel)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills: highly collaborative with ability to build solid working partnerships across functional groups
- Creative thinking, critical analysis, and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility/adaptability
- Ability to juggle multiple initiatives at once in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment
- Must be available for routine travel (approximately 50% of time), including overnight travel
- Possesses verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation, and influence skills
- Excellent organizational ability with demonstrated mastery of planning
- Self-starter who works independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to understand Central Insurance’s policies and processes
Preferred
- Experience working with PowerBI
- Experience working with Independent Insurance Agents preferred
- Experience in a similar sales, marketing and field role
