Therapist/Social Worker
This role is bilingual/biliterate in Spanish and English. A test will be administered prior to employment.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Mental Health Counselor to join our SLO-Hub program. Under the direction of the SLO-Hub Program Supervisor and in collaboration with the contract clinical supervisor, you will provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for clients. Your expertise in psychotherapy and various treatment modalities will be crucial in supporting individuals with dual-diagnosed disorders.
Qualifications:
- Must have one of the following licenses:
- Licensed Marriage Family Therapist
- Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- Associate Clinical Social Worker
- Clinical Psychologist
- Associate Professional Clinical Counselor
- Education: Master’s degree in a mental health-related field from an accredited institution. Registered Intern preferred.
- Experience: Two years of professional mental health therapy experience, particularly with homeless individuals and/or those with substance abuse and mental health issues.
- Must have obtained ACSW or AMFT within 30 days of hiring. Preference to individuals who have already achieved LMFT, LCSW, or other mental health licensure.
- Must have dependable, insured transportation, and a valid California Driver License (mileage to be reimbursed) and acceptable driving record. A DMV printout and proof of insurance will be required.
As the Therapist/Social Worker you will:
- Conduct preliminary mental health evaluations for referred clients.
- Perform the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA) Assessment to officially open cases.
- Develop and implement effective treatment plans using various modalities.
- Collaborate with the SLO-Hub Case Manager, Peer Support Specialist, and community agencies.
- Stay informed about best practices for dual-diagnosed clients and attend relevant trainings.
- Provide counseling services in diverse settings, including Prado HSC, recovery housing, and client homes.
- Offer therapy services during non-traditional hours as needed (weekends, evenings).
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation, ensuring confidentiality.
- Participate in evaluation activities and community meetings.
