Assistant Director
This position may be eligible for an internal referral bonus and/or hiring bonus, and a relocation incentive.
Join our team as the Assistant Director of the CAPSLO Migrant and Seasonal Head Start (MSHS) program, where you will play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our high-quality, comprehensive early childhood education services. Under the guidance of the MSHS Director, you will supervise content area staff, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations while fostering a positive learning environment for both staff and enrolled families. This position provides key oversight functions of a publicly-funded $50M child development program serving approximately 2,700 children (from prenatal stages to 5 years of age) and their families. Our programs operate across nine California counties, providing multicultural and multilingual services in family child care homes and 32 early education centers.
The MSHS program offers no-cost child care and preschool services to eligible families in agricultural communities, serving children from birth through age five, with additional support for pregnant women. By accommodating the long hours associated with agricultural work, this program helps build brighter futures for families in some of California's most essential communities. Your leadership will directly impact these communities by ensuring access to education and care that meets the unique needs of migrant and seasonal workers.
