Sewing Machine Operator -2nd Shift (Monday-Thursday)

Join our dynamic team as a Sewing Machine Operator! We're looking for detail-oriented individuals to support our production operations during the second shift. Occasional overtime opportunities are available on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Machine Set-Up & Adjustment: Perform setup and adjustments of sewing machines as needed, including winding bobbins and replacing needles.

  2. Material Expertise: Maintain extensive knowledge of the materials required for sewing operations to ensure quality results.

  3. Machine Operation: Ensure machines are properly set up and adjusted to meet production requirements.

  4. Quality Assurance: Remain vigilant for in-process product imperfections and report issues promptly to the supervisor or lead.

  5. Safety Practices: Adhere to all safety protocols to prevent injury and maintain equipment integrity.

  6. Additional Duties: Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Hand Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with the use of hand tools.

  • Basic Skills: Strong reading, writing, and comprehension skills, as well as basic mathematical abilities.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to focus on details to ensure quality output.

  • Adaptability: Capacity to adjust to changing priorities and tasks as needed.

  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues and management.

Physical Requirements

  • Mobility: Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods. Use hands to handle tools and control machinery. Reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as needed.

  • Lifting: Occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds.

  • Vision: Specific visual capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
