About the Role:
The IT Asset Manager is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of technology hardware assets, including planning, procurement, monitoring, and compliance. You’ll also play a critical role in coordinating software licensing, optimizing technology spending, and managing vendor relationships.

What You’ll Do:

  • Develop & Execute Asset Management Programs: Lead the development and execution of policies, processes, procedures, tools, and reporting for an effective asset management program.
  • Manage Asset Tracking & Inventory: Oversee tracking and inventory of all technology-related assets, such as desktops, laptops, infrastructure assets, phones, mobile devices, and printers. Conduct physical inventories at all locations as needed, ensuring accurate data is gathered and updated.
  • Perform Audits & Reports: Conduct regular audits, update incorrect data, and run scheduled reports to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Handle Equipment Requests & Shortages: Identify equipment needs, validate specifications for alignment with business goals, and coordinate with vendors for quotes. Manage approved acquisitions and update systems accordingly.
  • Support Asset Refreshes: Verify and place orders, track and audit the refresh process, and deploy new devices to end-users as required.
  • Coordinate Asset Decommissioning: Manage the decommission process, including inventory, scheduling 3rd-party e-waste pickups, updating destruction documentation, and ensuring all asset details are accurate.
  • Optimize Software Licensing: Plan and manage software licenses on technology assets, ensuring compliance and optimization.
  • Build Vendor Relationships: Oversee relationships with 3rd-party providers for printers, telecom, mobile devices, and audio-visual equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology.
  • Strong understanding of technologies used in a manufacturing and corporate environment, with the ability to drive strategic direction.
  • Proven experience with IT Asset Management solutions and familiarity with ITIL methodology is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and build collaborative relationships across the organization.

Physical Requirements:
Occasionally required to stand, walk, or sit; use hands to grasp or handle objects and controls; reach with arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate effectively. Occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. For all jobs, no one should lift over 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
