Job Summary:   The Manager of Inventory Control and Supplier Logistics manages people, processes, and systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity targets are met.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Monitor activities associated with inventory and shipping activity using KPIs
  • Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling using data storage system
  • Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
  • Ensure quality, delivery and budget objectives are met
  • Oversee stock control and processing of work orders
  • Complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results
  • Motivate, organize, and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Training staff and monitoring their performance and progress
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements
  • Brief leadership team on area issues daily
  • Promote a culture of safety by monitoring self and others to assure all duties are performed within the guidelines as specified by the HAECO Safety Manual.
  • Assist in the training of other employees as well as assisting them in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance.
  • Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
  • Keep own and adjacent work area clean.

Accountable to the COO and VP of Supply Chain and Industrialization

 

Job Qualifications:

Minimum:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent experience in Logistics, Materials, Planning and/or related business areas.
  • Ten (10) years of experience demonstrating proficiency in a broad range of functional assignments including the ability to structure and conduct advanced supply chain analyses in the areas of inventory management, materials management, and lean management principles
  • Five + years’ experience of demonstrated proficiency in the areas of Shipping/Receiving and Logistics
  • Knowledge of IATA, DOT, and FAA regulations governing proper shipping practices
  • Critical thinking, logic skills and the discipline to persevere until problems are solved
  • Familiarity with MRP and lean concepts as well as proficient in MS Office software applications.
  • Demonstrated track record in managing teams and working effectively across all functions and organizations
  • Good leadership and team participation skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and accurately perform duties.
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Willingness to continue personal growth and development
  • Must be able to read, write and understand English.

Preferred:

  • Aerospace background.
  • C-TPAT experience (international import process).

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit and work efficiently at video display terminals for extended periods of time
  • Must have excellent professional, communication, negotiation, teamwork, organization, project management, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Must and be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
  • Normal or corrected hearing and vision required
  • Normal duties involve filing as well as typical office duties that involve stretching, reaching, and stooping with lifting typically limited to 10-20 lbs. maximum
