OVERALL PURPOSE OF JOB
|
Develops and plans the daily schedule for warehouse operations. Coordinates and schedules the assignment of trailers, dock doors, load and off-load activity, inter-company transfers, and outside warehouse transfers. Assists the Warehouse Supervisor’s & Distribution Manager with paperwork, preparation, and other general office activities. Coordinates the movement of finished goods & raw materials between companies. Interacts with hourly teammates in loading and unloading activity as well as coordinating all production support. Will also stand in the absence of the Warehouse Supervisor.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
|
- Ensures off-loading procedures are followed and documentation is completed for accurate inventory control.
- Conducts monthly and year-end inventory checks as well as daily spot checks and weekly cycle counts with accuracy of 97% or higher.
- Manage and lead the activities of our hourly team, including coaching, scheduling of overtime, etc. as necessary.
- Coordinate with ODW, Customer Service, Procurement team, and Production / Scheduling to ensure timely shipments and customer satisfaction.
- Ensures the accuracy of tracking time, pallets, and cases for all individuals on the team manually and records them to the computer.
- Logs in receipts for small miscellaneous shipments (i.e., UPS, Fed Ex and Air Borne) and coordinates prompt delivery of these shipments.
- Ensure all shipping, receiving and storage procedures are being followed.
- Coordinates the input and output of finished goods through the computerized system (AS400) for storage, off-loading, loading, and shipping activity. (i.e., runs pick tickets, bill of ladings, misc. bill of ladings and special bill of ladings.)
- Ensures the warehouse is always in SQF audit ready condition, including ensuring all hourly teammates are following Food Safety rules and GMP’s.
- Ensures Dayforce activities are being done by shift and by day. This includes attendance, pay, vacation, and ensures the accuracy of these items.
- Ensures all receipts of ingredients are properly labeled, as required, and documents any damage received.
- Assist customers who are picking up donations.
- Answer the phone and C.B. radio, handling calls when possible.
- Coordinates movement of raw material between the warehouse and outside storage on an as need basis.
- Ensures inventory counts conducted by self or others are entered into the inventory files on the computer.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conducts weekly cycle counts and period end inventories on weekends.

REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
|
- Good organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and detail-oriented mindset.
- Some scheduling experience preferred.
- Ability to use computerized systems including but not limited to Microsoft office.
- Must be able to adjust to conditions and function well under pressure.
- Must be able to work under a minimum of supervision.
- Customer Service oriented including both internal departments and external customers or vendors.
- Must have good basic math skills.
- Ability to communicate in English clearly in both verbal and written form.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
