Master's Level Behavioral Health Internship
Are you looking for a Master's Level Social Work Internship? Wheeler offers placement in both Outpatient and Community-Based settings. Wheeler supports the life span of clientele, with a large population representing underserved communities. Interns have an opportunity to provide targeted case-management services, provide individual counseling, family counseling, and learn to facilitate clinical groups as well. The internship opportunity can include experience working with individuals with dual diagnosis, high acuity, substance use disorders, and other social determinants of health. Within the internship experience, interns will also have the opportunity to train and shadow with our clinical team(s) and program leadership to learn a variety of therapeutic modalities, techniques, and approaches.
Interns will receive practical hands-on training to learn how to access and utilize the agency's Electronic Health Record, the use and application of the DSM-TR, how to conduct and complete individualized treatment planning, implement evidenced based practices, and will also have the opportunity to learn about resume building and preparation to enter into the clinical workforce. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS
Candidate must be currently enrolled in a university master’s program for Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT), Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
