Commissary Agent 1 (Warehouse Agent)
Reports To: Station Operations Manager
Summary
Commissary Agents are responsible for building all galleys to the clients’ specifications for all scheduled flights. This position requires working in a fast-paced environment with time constraints to meet arrival and departure goals. A professional and positive image must be consistently displayed by the employee. “Lead by Example” concept is strongly promoted.
Commissary Agents must report to work on a regular and timely basis and report directly to the supervisor and/or manager on duty.
Job Duties

Understand and promote the company core values

Build/strip commissary according to airline specs and schedules within established timelines
-
Ensure production areas comply with sanitation standards and customer/company requirements
-
Actively participates in the Safety Management System (SMS)
-
Complete inventories according to airline requirements
-
Understand and comply with USA Border Services Agency Memorandum D7-1-1 & D4-1-4
-
Understand and comply with Transport Canada requirements
-
Comply with Sky Café Food policies and procedures.
-
Actively participate in Sky Café’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations. Understand, comply with, and promote the company Safety Policy

Responsible for maintaining safety and security of the warehouse at all times

Assist in set up, cleaning and storage of equipment and warehouse
-
Responsible for courteous, prompt, accurate and careful handling of food and goods, including loading and unloading
-
Receive, perform temperature testing and inspection of catering deliveries from our food service provider
-
Comply with all Sky Café and airline policies
-
Constantly communicate with other catering personnel, and respective airline communication centers if applicable

Performs other duties as required
Work Environment
-
Exposure to extreme temperature changes and noise
-
May be required to work in a cold room of 4 degrees or less for extended periods of time

Must be capable of lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs (23 kg) on a regular basis

Regular standing, bending, and lifting during shift
Requirements
-
Be at least 18 years of age
-
Ability to work on a permanent basis in USA
-
Obtain a clear criminal record
-
Ability to obtain necessary airport and/or Transport Canada security clearances
-
Ability to work within the required time parameters
-
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules
-
Must successfully complete airline and corporate specific training programs and recertification
-
Must be able to operate all equipment as pertains to the position (forklifts, high lift trucks, catering vans)
