Family Clinician

Young Adult Services - Arlington

 

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00/year depending on experience + sign on bonus (half paid after 30 days of employment and the other half paid after 90 days of employment/pro-rated for part time).

Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring a full-time, Family Clinician to provide direct clinical services and coordinate clinical program development for clients and their families in our Arlington young adult program. We provide a supportive culture that allows for a balance of personal responsibilities and professional development while contributing to the community.

What you will do: 

  • Utilize trauma informed and culturally responsive interventions with young adults and their families.
  • Assist young adults and their families in navigating systems to promote their awareness of resources and access to support.
  • Conduct family meetings when requested by young adults.
  • Empower young adults in the milieu environment with skills and strategies to support their mental and behavioral health needs.
  • Create treatment plans and interventions to support skill-based growth.
  • Promote and strengthen the young adults’ natural support to foster a welcoming and supportive community for the young adult.
  • Ensure that young adult’s rights are respected, particularly regarding cultural competency.
  • Work with other community-based organizations to provide services and care for youth and their families.
  • Provide crisis interventions and support, work with local ESP teams for additional clinical support.
  • Participate in program On-call rotation as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling or related field.
  • Valid driver’s license/access to reliable automobile.

We will train you in: Motivational Interviewing; Attachment, Regulation and Competency Model (ARC); Courageous Conversations; Trauma Informed Practice; Substance Use Intervention; Risk and Safety Assessment.
