Clinical Supervisor

Community Services - Worcester/Charlton


Salary Range: $75,000.00 +/year depending on experience + sign on bonus (half paid after 30 days of employment and half paid after 90 days of employment; pro-rated for part-time).
 

Wayside Youth and Family Support Network's Charlton site is seeking a driven, innovative, strengths-based Clinical Supervisor.  Charlton Community Services site is a community-based program serving children, adolescents, and families referred by the Department of Mental Health, Department of Children and Families as well as insurance funded (IHT& TM) services. In this fast-paced program, the Clinical Supervisor will assist the Program Director and management team in overseeing all aspects of the program. The Clinical Supervisor will provide clinical supervision to program staff and interns, as well as providing direct care to a small caseload of youth and families. The Clinical Supervisor is an individual with established experience in navigating behavioral health systems and leading supervisees in expanding their therapeutic skills and interventions. The Clinical Supervisor will team with the Program Director to assure the program is providing high quality therapeutic care that is individualized, culturally responsive, and aligned with Wayside’s mission and values.
 

What you will do:  

  • Provide weekly supervision to Clinicians, Youth and Family Support Workers, Family Partners, Young Adult Peer Mentors, Interns, and any other program staff
  • Complete annual performance evaluations for supervisees
  • Conduct diagnostic assessments and create treatment plans/Individualized Action Plans
  • Facilitate/co-facilitate staff meetings
  • Coordinate training program for staff
  • Provide emergency support and assistance to staff in the program 
  • Provide advocacy and care coordination with collaterals as necessary and as requested by families
  • Attend all necessary collateral meetings as required
  • Participate in in-service trainings as offered at Wayside Youth & Family and participate in ongoing educational opportunities as required by professional licensing bodies
  • Participate in Program Quality Management and Utilization Review
  • Review and approve clinical documentation ensuring compliance with funders
  • Provide direct clinical services to clients including, but not limited to, in-home individual, couple, and family therapy, behavior management and crisis intervention
  • Participate in agency-wide initiatives to assure and improve clinical quality
  • Assist in developing continuity of service between other services within Wayside and among collateral providers
  • Perform other functions as assigned by the Program Director

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: 

  • Knowledge of child welfare, behavior management, adolescent development, parenting issues, individual/family therapy, DSM-V, trauma-informed care, and psychopharmacology
  • Knowledge of reflective supervision
  • Proven ability to manage clinical issues

Minimum Requirements: 

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or another related human services field
  • Independent licensure required
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in direct service with children, adolescents, and families
  • Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
