Clinical Supervisor for Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention Services

Starting Salary:$75,000.00/year + sign on bonus (half paid after 30 days of employment and half paid after 90 days of employment/pro-rated for part-time). 

 Wayside Youth & Family Support Network is hiring for a Clinical Supervisor to work in our fast-paced Mobile Crisis Team in Framingham. This position includes the responsibility of supporting the Program Director with the management and supervision of the MCI Team whose role is to respond to the needs of a youth and their family during a youth’s psychiatric crisis. YMCI responds to families in “real time,” in the community, assesses youth for immediate safety needs, determines service needs, facilitates connections to other services designed to assist the youth/family, and provides short-term intensive clinical services to stabilize the youth.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the management and deployment of YMCI staff in the community based upon need.
  • Ensure linkage and coordination to community-based treatment options to minimize the need for out of home, more restrictive placements.
  • Supervise Master’s Level Clinicians, Bachelor’s Level Counselors and Family Partners.
  • Serve as the Administrator on-call to support staff doing triage.
  • Travel to client homes and/or a community setting to evaluate youth, up to the age of 21 who are experiencing an emotional/behavioral crisis.
  • Support youth and families in creating crisis/safety plans to help them to safely remain in their home environment.
  • Identify and access additional services and resources to help support the youth and their family.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Requires a Master’s degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, with associated independent licensure.
  • Expertise providing behavioral health and crisis services to children and families with a strong understanding of the mental health system and services available in the state of Massachusetts.
  • Must have the ability to multitask, think quickly, efficiently convey information, establish and maintain strong relationships with community referral sources, and maintain ongoing positive relationships with families, treatment providers and third party payers.
  • Driving in the community is a requirement of this position; please ensure you have a valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
