What is the opportunity?
The Financial Analyst is responsible for collecting, monitoring, and analyzing financial data, providing insights into financial performance, and supporting data-driven decision-making. This role requires strong quantitative skills, an understanding of financial principles, and the ability to interpret data and market trends. This is a full-time remote position that will report to the Director of Finance & Global Payroll.
A successful Financial Analyst will:
- Maintain a strong Christian witness and model servant leadership to colleagues, partners, the communities we serve, and the public.
- Engage and participate in prayer before and after team meetings.
- Lead and participate in biblically based staff devotions.
- Develop financial metrics and dashboards in Workday Adaptive Planning.
- Perform analyses of opportunities for carbon credits on safe water projects in the developing world, and guide the prioritization of water projects eligible for carbon credits.
- Perform financial analyses and modeling required by quarterly financial forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
- Develop and complete complex financial models and analyses related to opportunities, costs, and cash flows.
- Prepare reports and presentations to clearly and simply communicate complex data and concepts.
- Serve an integral role in the annual budgeting process.

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, mathematics, or statistics.
- Strong strategic thinking skills and high level of cognitive function.
- Clear understanding of and experience with financial statements.
- Three years’ experience in financial planning & analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with NetSuite preferred.
- Experience with Workday Adaptive Planning strongly preferred, but experience with other planning systems will be considered.
- Experience with carbon credits preferred.
- Experience at a nonprofit organization preferred.
- Ability to clearly communicate complex financial concepts verbally, graphically, and in written form.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and prioritize effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate ideas and feedback constructively.
- Home internet bandwidth strong enough to support video conferencing and other job-related responsibilities.
- Commitment to ending the global water crisis.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
