SUMMARY:  As part of a leading global aerospace MRO, the Quality Assurance Inspector II role is responsible for verifying basic product conformance to company requirements. Performs visual inspections, identifies, and documents non-conformities with products or traceability, and segregates non-conformities. Assists with quality activities and meeting quality goals and objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Addresses with manufacturers missing or illegible certification documentation, shortages, or any other issues with parts/documentation.
  • Works with internal groups (Sales, Quality, Purchasing) to resolve Certification document issues and part discrepancies.
  • Assists with internal rejections and Return to Vendor (RTV) process.
  • Communicates with vendors to obtain required information (Certs).
  • Proofreads paperwork for traceability for part number, lot number accuracy and test requirements before scanning into system.
  • Maintains certification files and digital file systems.
  • Perform visual inspections of overhauled and repaired components as required per internal QCM.
  • Performs in process inspections of work in progress.
  • Review, write, and verify accuracy of 8130-3 Airworthiness certification form per FAA and EASA requirements.
  • Assist in root cause analysis of corrective actions issued.
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS : 

  • Repairman Certification or FAA Airframe license.
  • 2-3 years of relevant/technical work experience.
  • Detailed oriented, well organized, self-motivated and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and scheduling applications. 
  • Fluent in English, with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

  • Associate degree or Repairman Certification or FAA Airframe license.
  • 4+ years of work experience
  • Internal experience counts as 2 years of experience as it relates to meeting the requirements of a role.
  • Knowledge of Quantum Component Control or another ERP system
  • Previous experience in aerospace inspection or audits
  • QA inspection knowledge in QA methods
  • Knowledge of ISO/ASA audits
  • OTHER:
