SUMMARY: The Senior Scheduler is responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling of aircraft manufacturing and maintenance activities. The role involves coordinating various aspects of production to ensure the timely and efficiently deliver of aircraft. Manufacturing experience with engine/APU/aircraft fuel systems and/or accessories is an asset.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop and manage detailed production schedules for aircraft engine accessories/parts such as production capacity, resources, and delivery timelines.
  • Coordinate and schedule production activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and minimizing downtime.
  • Optimize the allocation of resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet production schedules.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, quality assurance, customer/sales management, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication.
  • Ensure that all production activities comply with aviation regulations, safety standards, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor all aspects of production inventory to prevent production shortages and delays.
  • Be responsible to track and analyze key performance indicators related to aircraft production, such as production cycle times, on-time delivery, and resource utilization.
  • Evaluate and plan production capacity to meet demand while considering constraints and lead times associated with manufacturing processes.
  • Anticipate and mitigate potential risks that may impact production schedules, including supply chain disruptions, regulatory changes, or unexpected technical issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the production scheduling processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Be able to work with IT team to develop Power BI reporting and be comfortable manipulating data exports in excel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDES EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, COMPETENCIES), ETC.)

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation management, aerospace engineering, production and inventory management, operations management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of production planning and scheduling experience.
  • OR an additional 3 years specific work experience in lieu of degree.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and compliance requirements related to manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with various teams.
  • Proficient in using specialized aviation-related software and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in scheduling and compliance with aviation standards.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and devise effective solutions to ensure the smooth flow of production and maintenance activities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with power BI reporting.
  • May be required to travel from time to time, passport required.
  • Strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS 

  • 9+ years of experience in production planning and scheduling within the aviation industry.
  • 3+ years of experience with Quantum and/or Pentagon.
  • Lean, Six Sigma certification.
  • Manufacturing experience with engine/APU/aircraft fuel systems and/or accessories
