Purpose
Chemical Compounders must thoroughly and efficiently perform their responsibilities so that quality approved batches are turned out in a timely fashion to support production demand and minimize waste.

Read and interpret work order requirements |

Follow work order instructions to correctly blend product. |

Follow C&S procedures to correctly clean equipment. |

Understand and use FIFO rotation system. |

Safely operate forklift and drum handling equipment. |

Use scales to accurately weigh chemicals for batching. |

Keep accurate records of transactions. |

Use aseptic techniques when opening and dispensing from containers. |

Maintain required log books. |

Facilitate batch changes, making sure that the line has the correct product, the batch card is in the proper hands and the product is delivered correctly to the appropriate filling line. |

Other Functional Responsibilities
Keep compounding area clean and tidy. Understand and obey all GMP and Safety practices. Participate in investigations as required. Participate in customer product trials as needed.

Educational Requirements
High School Diploma/GED
Work Experience
Ability to become forklift certified.
Technical Skills
Previous handling of raw material or hazardous waste.
