2025 Short-Term Ticketing Operations Internship
About the USGA:
The USGA conducts the U.S. Open, U.S. Women’s Open, U.S. Senior Open, and the U.S. Senior Women’s Open as well as 10 national amateur championships, two state team championships and international matches. Together with The R&A, the USGA governs the game worldwide, jointly administering the Rules of Golf, Rules of Amateur Status, Equipment Standards and World Amateur Golf Rankings. The USGA’s working jurisdiction comprises the United States, its territories and Mexico.
What You Can Expect:
A paid internship running 5 days a week, from 9am – 4pm beginning April 1st through July 2nd, 2025. This position is conducted in a hybrid workspace in the Ticketing office in Far Hills, NJ. Candidates will also as travel onsite for the various 2025 USGA Championships. Hours and days will increase while on-site at USGA Championships.
Ticket Operations interns will learn and assist with all aspects of the USGA ticket & credential operation. In preparation of USGA Championships, interns will assist with ticket administration duties and credential production. While on-site, interns will lead fan facing customer service, gate operations, and access control while overseeing box office and will-call functions.
Responsibility:
- Assist the ticketing office with day-to-day functions
- Learn the AXS Back Office ticketing platform to investigate purchases and assist with accounts issues
- Build ticket offers in the AXS Back Office and input contractual obligations, pricing, and offer details in various systems and forms
- Learn the Accredit credential platform
- Respond to emails and calls from current and potential ticket buyers
- Manage ticket questions and requests in a timely manner while also providing solutions to mobile ticket and credential problems
- Help with the ticket and credential fulfillment
- Assist with credential production and distribution
- Work closely with various other departments including marketing, championship administration and operations, and hospitality teams to provide fan feedback and drive guest experience
- Assist with special projects and mailings
- While on-site, sell tickets at box offices and distribute credentials at will-call with a strong focus in customer interaction and ticket resolution
- Able to work long hours, nights and/or weekends as necessary
- Travel will primarily be during the months of May and June.

Where you'll be:
- This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. Please note that housing is not provided for interns in the NJ office.
- Extensive travel is required during Championship weeks in May and June. When traveling on-site, team members will surpass 70+ hours per Championship week. Travel is continuous for multiple weeks, including weekends and holidays. Predetermined expenses are covered by the USGA when traveling on-site.
