Boatwright Internship Program Administrator
The Boatwright Internship Program Administrator is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the P.J. Boatwright Internship Program, including the annual Boatwright Summit. Each year, the USGA invests over $2M to support the hiring of more than 180 interns nationwide. This program is a cornerstone of our commitment to fostering long-term growth and diversity in the golf industry while shaping the future leaders of the sport.
In this role, you’ll lead programming efforts, create cross-departmental connections at the USGA, collaborate with our Allied Golf Association (AGA) partners across the country, and make a meaningful impact on developing industry leaders. A background in sports is not required—what matters is your passion for building impactful programs and enhancing experiences that support talent and professional development.
What you'll do:
- Program Strategy and Management

- Support and execute strategic corporate initiatives related to the P.J. Boatwright Internship Program.
- Evolve engagement strategies for alumni to maintain long-term connections with the program.
- Recruiting and Talent Development

- Manage the applicant tracking system (Dayforce) and assist AGA Boatwright hiring managers with onboarding.
- Enhance recruiting efforts, including hosting events on platforms like Handshake, developing an alumni task force, and building partnerships with local AGAs.
- Collaborate with internal USGA programs, such as Pathways and Launch, to identify and share talent.
- Event Planning and Execution

- Lead the planning and delivery of the annual Boatwright Summit, managing comprehensive logistics and successful execution each May.

- Coordinate alumni-related events throughout the year to foster ongoing engagement.
- Training and Resources

- Work with AGAs to develop customized training materials and onboarding videos to ensure seamless integration for interns.
- Reporting and Program Insights

- Develop and maintain program reports, focusing on metrics like recruiting, diversity, onboarding, and grant funding.
- Use data insights to create and execute strategies in partnership with Regional Affairs Directors to improve program satisfaction.
- Communications

- Drive messaging and content for intern communications, collaborating with Regional Affairs, Communications, and HR teams.
- Contribute to other P.J. Boatwright initiatives and projects as needed.
Where you'll be:
- This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday.
- 3+ years of administrative or program management experience
- Experience in human resources or recruiting is preferred
- Event planning experience is a plus
- Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Enthusiasm for creating inclusive environments and building professional relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
