About this role:
  • The Coordinator, Equipment Conformance serves as the initial point of contact for golf ball submissions to the USGA Equipment Standards Department and is responsible for intake, screening, data entry and reporting, and invoicing of golf ball submissions. The Coordinator, Equipment Conformance will also catalogue and store all product submissions and maintain the club/ball sample storage area. They will also provide support with respect to the administration of golf club and other equipment submission process, as well as general support of office operations.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate the front-end of the USGA Golf Ball Conformance process, which includes:
    • Intake, screening, and database entry of golf ball submissions/samples received from manufacturers for monthly Conformance Testing
    • Ensuring that all information and samples are complete - contacting the submitter to correct any deficiencies and tracking payment pending submissions until payment is received
    • Maintaining/updating the Golf Ball Database (DTS) and associated records
    • Issuing golf ball conformance testing results and notifications, including associated data (e.g., Summary Data Reports)
    • Maintaining/updating the Test Service and Check Test database and associated records
    • Preparing test reports and customer invoices
    • Ensuring that submitters are notified of golf balls that will be expiring/dropping from the List in a timely manner
  • Administers the Test Service and Check Test Program for golf balls, which includes:
    • Intaking, screening, database entry, and tracking of golf ball submissions/samples submitted for Test Service
    • Compiling and communicating Test Service Data Reports to manufacturers
    • Invoicing manufacturers and returning samples in a timely manner
  • Provide support with respect to the administration of golf club and other equipment submission process, as well as general support of office operations (e.g., processing purchase orders, ordering office supplies, shipping and receiving support, etc.). 
  • Catalogue and store product submissions and maintain the club/ball sample storage areaEnsure that clubs, balls and other equipment are stored efficiently according to decision number and year. 
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Senior Coordinator or Assistant Manager, Equipment Rules and Conformance and Assistant Director, Equipment Rules and Conformance. 

Where you'll be: 

  • This role will be based at our Pinehurst, NC campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3-4 days per week working in the office, between Monday through Friday. 

What you bring: 

  • Associates or Bachelors degree required.
  • Experience using accounting-based software applications is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of golf and golf equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently with impeccable time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers, partners, and the public.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft applications is required, experience with database management is preferred.
