About this role:

As a Senior Business Insights Analyst, you will play a critical role within the Regional Affairs team, collaborating with multiple departments across the USGA and partner Allied Golf Associations. Your expertise will be essential in shaping and executing our strategic vision, driving business performance through data-driven insights. You will leverage advanced analytics, business acumen, and leadership skills to influence decision-making and drive meaningful change. The successful candidate is an experienced, strategic thinker with a deep understanding of data analytics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead complex projects.

What you'll do:

  • Lead Data Analysis and Interpretation
    • Oversee the analysis of complex datasets, applying advanced statistical techniques to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations.
    • Develop and implement data-driven strategies that align with organizational goals, enhancing decision-making across the USGA.
    • Translate analytical findings into clear, actionable business insights that inform decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Strategic Reporting and Insights
    • Create and deliver high-impact reports and dashboards that effectively communicate key insights and business opportunities to senior leadership.
    • Design and develop predictive models to forecast business trends and guide long-term strategy.
    • Ensure insights derived from data are presented in a way that is both accessible and actionable for stakeholders.
  • Project Leadership and Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Lead cross-functional teams in the design and execution of high-priority projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Serve as a key liaison between business units and IT to enhance data collection, storage, and reporting capabilities.
  • Advanced Survey Design and Research
    • Oversee the development of complex quantitative and qualitative surveys to address critical business questions and research objectives.
    • Synthesize data from multiple sources, producing concise, actionable reports that drive strategic decision-making.
  • Data Visualization and Decision Support
    • Innovate and implement advanced data visualization techniques, transforming raw data into intuitive, actionable insights.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards that provide real-time business intelligence, supporting ongoing strategic initiatives.

Where you'll be:  

  • This role will be based at our Liberty Corner, NJ campus on a hybrid schedule. Employees are expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office, between Monday - Thursday. There is a travel component to this role - approximately 10%.

What you bring: 

  • Bachelors degree in business, marketing, management, economics, computer science or a quantitative field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in data analysis, business insights, or a related field, with a proven track record of driving business results through data.
  • Advanced capability in Microsoft Excel, proficiency with PowerBI required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to present complex data and insights to senior leadership.
  • Understanding of database structures and querying a plus.
  • Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive, results-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously.
  • Sports industry experience is a plus.
