Position Overview:

The manager of programs will be entrusted with oversight of the day-to-day tasks and deliverables for the early childhood education portfolio. This pivotal role involves managing various initiatives and several consultants, with a focus on the Early Childhood & Business Advisory Council and the successful launch of new Untapped Potential reports. This person will not only be responsible for the day-to-day administration of existing programs but will participate in the strategic development of new initiatives aimed at advancing our mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Provide direct support to leadership on the Early Childhood Education portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and priorities.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Foster collaboration across internal teams and external partners to maximize synergies and amplify the impact of our programs. Act as a key liaison with stakeholders, including state and local chambers.
  • Early Childhood & Business Advisory Council: Oversee all aspects of the advisory council, including participant engagement, resource and curriculum development, strategic vision, event logistics, and relationship building among participating stakeholders and partner organizations. The council involves engaging with business leaders, childcare experts, and state administrators from across the country.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop long-term strategies for expanding and enhancing our programs in the early childhood education space. This involves identifying emerging trends, assessing stakeholder needs, leveraging partnerships to maximize programmatic impact, and participating in coalitions, working groups, and events.
  • Fundraising and Resource Development: Work with senior leadership to secure funding for existing programs and cultivate relationships with potential donors and partners.
  • Program Innovation: Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and iterate on existing programs, ensuring relevance and effectiveness in a dynamic early childhood landscape. This involves piloting new initiatives, incorporating best practices, leveraging technology to enhance program delivery, and identifying or creating resources for internal and external partners.

Qualifications:

What you’ll need to succeed (requirements):

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in an organization with complex operations; a minimum level of education is not required.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A track record of writing for different audiences.
  • A keen eye for detail and organizational systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and cloud-based applications.
  • Ability to conduct and summarize research.
  • A high level of familiarity with event planning and execution.
  • Flexibility to travel domestically.

The salary range for this position is $72,600.00 to $82,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits, including health care, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
