At the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation, you will obtain a hands-on, meaningful work experience designed to meet your academic and career goals. Our internships offer opportunities in research, writing, database management, communications, and event preparation.

During the internship, you will network with colleagues and senior-level executives while participating in educational and professional activities designed to enhance your internship experience.

INTERNSHIP PROGRAM OVERVIEW:

The Chamber Internship Program is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn at the world’s largest business organization. In addition to directly supporting a team in the organization, interns have an opportunity to participate in a variety of programming that will help build professional skills and networks.

Daily responsibilities for interns typically include research, drafting memos or content, and event planning and support. Specific responsibilities vary by department and semester.

The Chamber also offers programming each semester intended to provide professional development and networking opportunities for interns. In previous semesters, this has included a resume workshop, professional panel with Chamber experts, leadership luncheons, and more.

This internship is scheduled to run from the week of January 21st to the week of April 21st. This is a hybrid internship, with the in-person component being at our U.S. Chamber of Commerce HQ in downtown Washington, DC. Interns are expected to be in office at least two days a week. Fully remote applicants will not be considered.

This is a paid internship, where students may also receive academic credit if they meet the criteria set by their school. The hourly rate for this position is between $17.50 - $18.00 per hour. This hourly rate depends on the candidate's education level.

PROGRAMMING INCLUDES:

  • Intern Orientation – Get to know more about the Chamber and connect with other interns in the program.
  • Resume Workshop – Learn how to craft a standout resume and cover letter for your career next steps.
  • Internship Speaker Series- Learn from senior level leaders at the Chamber about their career journey and how their teams impact the greater work at the Chamber.
