Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will support the Chamber’s vice president for transportation, infrastructure, and supply chain policy and lead individual advocacy efforts before Congress, the executive branch, and the media. This person will play a key role in helping identify and develop advocacy campaigns that advance Chamber priorities. Superb organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are critical.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a liaison to Chamber members and key stakeholders.
- Draft correspondence, blog posts, and other communication materials that help advance Chamber priorities before Congress, the administration, and the media.
- Cultivate relationships with Chamber members and policymakers to identify and advance advocacy priorities.
- Build coalitions that advance advocacy goals.
- Engage with Capitol Hill and relevant administration officials on member priorities.
- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously under tight timelines.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 4 years of related experience, preferably on the Hill, in the administration, or at a trade association.
- An interest in industry trends impacting Chamber members.
- Ability to present to a variety of audiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and multitasking skills.
- Experience building and managing coalitions.
- Comfort working pro-actively and independently.
- A creative and strategic thinker and effective decision maker.
- Flexibility for travel.
The salary range for this position is $138,091.00 to $170,000.00. The actual salary paid for this position will vary based on market data, an applicant’s qualifications, relevant degrees, certifications, and other factors. Our full-time employees are eligible for benefits including healthcare, vision, dental, retirement, and paid leave.
