POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Assurance Manager in North Carolina supports The Upper Deck Company’s business units by managing the Shipping and Quality Assurance Departments along with oversight of the Project Coordinators for Trading Card projects.  Responsibilities include resource management using influential communication and leadership skills.

 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Thefollowing statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by an individual assigned to this job.  Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Responsible to oversee multiple teams; this person must be able to prioritize daily needs to hit schedules
  • Reinforce and uphold established company Quality standards
    • Review and update procedures as we grow to maintain quality and through put
  • Ensure accurate inventory at all times
    • Ensure team members are following established guidelines to add and remove inventory
    • Oversee Cycle counts as needed to confirm inventory
  • Works with cross functional teams to confirm accuracy of inventory allocation to production
  • Transfer Inventory per the established schedule to keep projects on time
  • Problem solving as issues arise
  • Establishing and growing existing teams where needed
  • Manage and develop a talented and growing  team
  • Other tasks as assigned

EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree with an emphasis in Business Management, Operations or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in the field of project management or related area.
  • Prior managing or inventory experience is a plus.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Accomplished verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a dedicated attention to detail.
  • Professional demeanor; team player orientation.  Ability to interface with internal parties at all levels.
  • Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising reasonable discretion and independent judgment.
  • Hands on, energetic and motivated self-starter with the ability to work additional hours as required.
  • Proficiency in the following software or systems: MS Office.
