Location: Clearwater Corps Social Services, Tarpon Springs, Florida

Position Type: Full-Time Hourly

Pay Range: $25.45 to $28.63

About this opportunity:

Serves as Service Center Manager for Tarpon Springs.  Is responsible for providing assistance to the public; recruits and trains volunteers to assist in performing seasonal work, supervising, and monitoring day-to-day operations according to program policies and procedures.  Builds and maintains effective working relationships with community agencies in order to make appropriate client referrals.  Supervises and participates in intake and client assistance performed by program staff ensuring compliance with program policies and procedures; prepares statistical reports and administers the program budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains all aspects of the day-to-day running of the Tarpon Springs service area.
  • Plans, schedules, assigns, and supervises the work of service center personnel; trains and instructs employees in the proper methods and procedures; monitors work in progress and upon completion to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program policies and procedures; conducts performance evaluations and makes hiring and firing recommendations.
  • Travels to Oldsmar, Palm Harbor and other communities to assist clients and to build relationships in the community as a representative of The Salvation Army.
  • Interviews clients requesting assistance to determine client's eligibility for assistance based on program guidelines and restrictions; records clients’ disposition and other pertinent information such as income, expenses, family and work history; assists clients in completing applications for assistance.
  • Prepares and files client records in a timely manner ensuring all information is accurate and up to date; obtains signatures of clients as needed; reviews and tracks all client records in order to determine if client is active or inactive; maintains confidentiality of client information.

What we are looking for in you:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work, Human Services, or a related social services field, (Master’s preferred)

AND

Two years progressively responsible experience performing social services case management work with at least one year in a supervisory capacity,

OR

Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
