Corps Business Administrator
Location: Clearwater Corps, Clearwater, Florida
Position Type: Full-Time Exempt
Pay Range: $57,700 to $65,000
About this opportunity:
This position is responsible for Assists the Commanding Officer of the day-to-day administrative detail involved in planning, coordinating, supervising, monitoring, and evaluating the operations of all areas of finance, accounting, budgeting, property management, IT, and DHQ HR.
Ensures that day-to-day operations of the same are in compliance with the policies and decisions of the Corps. Compiles data, reports and statistics for major budget and grant proposals. Prepares and presents monthly Advisory Board reports. Assumes additional responsibilities in the absence of the Officer in Charge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervises, assigns, instructs, monitors, and evaluates the work of staff responsible for the financial, budgeting, bookkeeping, computer systems, HR, and property management, functions; interviews potential employees and employees in accordance with Divisional/Territorial policies and in coordination with the Corps Officer and HR Specialist; conducts annual performance reviews for direct reports and makes recommendations for pay increases or position changes.
- Supervises, develops, coordinates, and implements all areas of finance, accounting, budgeting, and related business activities.
- Assists all departments in budget control and preparation; reviews budget status periodically with department heads; monitors all expenditures and makes appropriate adjustments when appropriate.
- Supervises and evaluates the installation and maintenance of computer systems along with IT staff; works with designated Divisional Headquarters staff as to procurement, installation, maintenance, personnel development, and usage and development plan of all computers.
- Plans, prepares, and administers the command budget and assists the Commanding Officer in implementing budget development, monitoring and control.
- Reviews, monitors, and approves expenditures to ensure compliance with budget constraints, monitors incoming funds to ensure compliance with budget projections conducts presentations at Advisory Board meetings.
What we are looking for in you:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Accounting or a related field,
AND
Three years progressively responsible administrative experience,
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
