Community Access & Home Detention Coordinator
The Salvation Army, an internationally recognized non-profit, faith-based organization, has an opening for Community Access & Home Detention Coordinator at the Waco Corps, located in Waco, TX.
Job Summary
Identifies and monitors community access of clients according to the directives of the Program Review Team, including clients in the Home Detention component.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with community employers.
Ability to prepare and maintain accurate client records and reports.
Ability to maintain up-to-date computer database records.
Ability to work flexible schedule to conduct home site visits and address accountability issues relating to Home Confinement participants.
Ability to drive van in town and out of town to conduct required home and employment visits.
Education and Experience
Associate’s degree or other two-year college or technical school degree in behavior science, counseling, social services, or a related field,
and
One year experience performing social services assistance,
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
and
Ability to pass all additional BOP contract required background checks.
Certifications
CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain within established timeframe)
Valid State Drivers License
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language effectively.
Ability to sort and file documents alphabetically and numerically.
Ability to operate various general office equipment including a telephone, computer, and adding machine.
Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines.
Ability to follow instructions and work independently with limited supervision.
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

Pay Range: Minimum: $15.53, Midpoint: $19.42
